Hi my name is Paula. I am not new to addiction as I have been in co-dependency for what seems like forever. I’ve been in so many roles in relation to someone with addiction from starting out as a granddaughter, daughter, sister, girlfriend, wife and now mother of addicts from alcohol to pills to heroin. I’m tired …really tired. I’ve lost so much sleep and I’m walking on eggshells worrying that my son or daughter will relapse. I don’t want to worry anymore. I am envious of people who don’t have to deal with this but also get angry when people judge others in active addiction and don’t understand the struggle they go thru to get clean/sober. I want to understand and support and learn and that’s why I am here.
