Hello fellow nar-anon warriors! My name is Tina. I have recently reached the end of my own inner peace and am struggling to find a new and healthier path. 11 years ago, my husband Troy–alcoholic and drug user–committed suicide and left myself and our two young children. I was labelled a “survivor” of suicide and worked hard each and everyday to help my girls get through this tragedy. A few years later, I met the perfect person. John was loving, kind, generous, and an alcoholic who used pot on occasion. He went into recovery and we married Oct. 3rd 2014. October 28th he was taken to the hospital with an unknown illness–which weeks later was diagnosed as AML and he was given 1 year to live. I was his 24/7 caregiver in MN at the Hope lodge and hospital until he passed on October 16th 2015. Now I have been in a relationship for 3 years and am engaged to an amazing man who loves my angels, and is addicted to marijuana. He says he will quit…he tries…then he falls back into his normal routine. I have learned to set-up a couple of boundries and am searching for my own sanity here.
